Immigration Associate Attorney
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Immigration Associate Attorney to join our growing Immigration Practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising clients on employment-based and family-based immigration matters while managing cases from initial consultation through final resolution. Working alongside experienced attorneys and dedicated legal professionals, you will gain hands-on experience handling complex immigration matters, developing strategic legal solutions, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients navigating today's evolving immigration landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of employment-based and family-based immigration matters from inception through completion.
- Prepare, draft, and file nonimmigrant visa petitions, immigrant petitions, adjustment of status applications, naturalization applications, waivers, and related immigration filings.
- Handle employment-based immigration matters, including H-1B, O-1, P-1, E-1, E-2, E-3, TN, L-1A/B, NIW, EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, permanent residence applications, and related filings.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on immigration laws, regulations, agency guidance, and policy updates.
- Draft legal memoranda, petitions, supporting documentation, legal arguments, and correspondence.
- Represent clients before USCIS and assist with interviews, Requests for Evidence (RFEs), and other immigration proceedings.
- Advise employers on employment eligibility verification, I-9 compliance, and immigration-related compliance matters.
- Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders throughout each stage of the immigration process.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support professionals on complex immigration matters.
- Develop practical and innovative legal strategies to address complex immigration challenges.
- Participate in client consultations, business development initiatives, networking opportunities, and professional education programs.
- Stay current on changes to immigration laws, regulations, and government policies to provide proactive legal guidance.
- Maintain accurate time records, case documentation, and matter management while delivering exceptional client service.
Required Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Previous experience practicing immigration law with a strong emphasis on employment-based immigration.
- Experience handling temporary work visas and employment-based permanent residence matters.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, agency procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing petitions including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E visas, NIW, EB-1, and related employment-based filings.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to independently manage cases while collaborating within a team-oriented environment.
- Client-focused mindset with exceptional professionalism and attention to detail.
- Admission to the Florida Bar is preferred but not required.
